An innovative electric scooter

Design of an user-friendly urban vehicle

User-friendly means simple to use, intuitive. 

It is not necessary to educate the user to its use through "clues" of operation that make it immediately understandable. 


The project objective is to design an electric scooter for safe cities: compactness and robustness must be balanced with lightness and ease of transport. Aim is to bring the inexperienced user closer to this mean of transport, also with regard to the stylistic line.

The research consisted in the analysis of a benchmark of 44 models of electric scooter from 21 different brands, the resulting composition of radar plots for characteristics and the definition of case studies. 

Later on were both field interviews with 3 experienced scooters and an online survey was made to more than 100 non-expert respondents. 

The results led to the following requirements.
